Mountains of the Mind – Psychometrics

At The Wild Workplace I believe that appropriate psychological tests coupled with skilful test interpretation can make a valuable contribution to the development process of an individual. Life’s challenge uniquely creates mountains in our minds. It requires us to understand our identity and style. Who are you? Psychometrics does not treat everyone in a robotic way. The value lies in careful discussion, evidence verification, the drawing out of individual difference and underlying personality preferences. The tests are personal with the benefit lying in the two way process discussion. Through triangulating judgement, valid evidence and the profile itself we formulate a comprehensive assessment.

As the founder of The Wild Workplace, I have ensured I am accredited in the administration and interpretation of several psychometric tools to BPS Standards. There is an abundance of tests of varying reliability, validity and value and I will always aim to use what is felt to be the most appropriate test within the limitations and capabilities they may have. The tests will be used to the highest standards and will be used ethically and within the levels of my appropriate accreditation.

The current psychometric tests we use are:

“If you are faced with a mountain, you have several options. You can climb it and cross to the other side. You can go around it. You can dig under it. You can fly over it. You can blow it up. You can ignore it and pretend it’s not there. You can turn around and go back the way you came. Or you can stay on the mountain and make it your home.” Vera Nazarian,
